Thomas studying the drink list
Welcome to our ONLINE STORE and blog.
As a barware, lighting and home accessories design company, at Thomas Fuchs Creative we specialize in handmade goods. Every week we give you a behind the scenes look at the people, places and things that inspire us.
While in Milan for Milan Design Week we are always on the hunt for places frequented by the people in the know. This lead us to world famous La Scala's bar and restaurant called Il Foyer.
Il Foyer Bar
While other VIP people attending Salone del Mobile went to the opening night of Scala thanks to American Airlines both Thomas and I missed it so we just went for drinks holding all our post Salone meetings in the bar where the aperitif and after dinner is the real highlight.

The cocktail list created by the Milanese Bar Manager Matteo De Palma, who arrived at Il Foyer after his stellar career as a barman in the world of great Milanese hôtellerie at a very young age, includes unique and original concoctions made with processing techniques such as ice carving and smoking with selected raw ingredients.
The Drink List
At Il Foyer you will be inspired by the operas and ballets that animate the nearby and prestigious Teatro alla Scala every day. From the drink list it will be possible to taste among the various cocktails offered: Giuseppe Verdi's Aida based on Belvedere Vodka infused with Sakura tea, ginger liqueur, raspberry shrub, pomegranate juice, aphrodisiac bitters, red fruit soda and red wine , smoked with aphrodisiac spices, Swan Lake with Hendrick's Gin, lime juice, St. Germain liqueur, agave and basil syrup is just one of the few perfections of the resident mixologist.

The Nuovo Regio Ducal Teatro alla Scala [2] [3] , simply known as Teatro alla Scala , colloquially called La Scala , is the main opera house of Milan . The restaurant also offers an indispensable tradition of the pre- and post-theatre dinner, offering guests refreshments before the show or during the interval, or to round off the evening with an unparalleled dinner once the theater performance is over.
The adjacent cafeteria, a new meeting point for those who love to enjoy breakfast away from home, is filled with sweet and savory pastries by the Italian-Argentine Pastry Chef Matias Ortiz.
