The Andrew Reed Gallery once again proves it has its finger firmly on the pulse of contemporary art with its newest exhibition, Standstill — a captivating solo show by artist Patricia Geyerhahn. Known for curating thought-provoking and emotionally resonant works, the gallery continues to champion artists who bridge intellect, intuition, and imagination in a way that speaks directly to our times.
Foundations:oil on linen 40x48 inches -$10K
Geyerhahn’s latest body of work—featuring pieces titled Time Stand Still, Narcissus, Fate, and Hope—invites viewers to pause, reflect, and question. In today’s global climate, where uncertainty often feels like the only constant, each canvas becomes a mirror in which the audience may see their own fears, dreams, and reckonings. The result is a collection that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
As the artist herself explains, “These paintings, steeped in the surreal, are inherently linked to the real by what they ask: what is going on, how did we get here, and what will the consequences hold? What was the past, what is our present, and what will be our future?”
A Threat: oil on linen 36 x 28 inches - $7500
In Standstill, time becomes both subject and question—suspended between memory and destiny. Geyerhahn’s brushwork, rich with symbolism and psychological depth, blurs the border between surrealism and lived experience. Each piece invites the viewer to slow down, breathe, and reexamine the rhythm of their own existence.
Once again, Andrew Reed Gallery solidifies its role as a cultural compass—pointing us toward artists whose work does more than decorate walls; it challenges us to look inward, reflect deeply, and feel profoundly. GO IN SEARCH OF HOPE AS IN THE PAINTING ON VIEW NOW!
