We are here in Sicily for a secret collaboration with one of the foremost Italian table linen companies. However, in the mean time, our hosts have introduced us to a side of Palermo that not even Lonely Planet or Amex Centurion (Black Card) Travel Services can lead you to.
After a long factory day we were taken out to dinner at the only Mac (Apple) Museum in the world, Mec Restaurant. Did you even know there was an Apple Museum? Even more surprising not even in Cupertino but in Sicily of all places.
In the renovated high-tech setting of Palazzo Castrone, an illustrious late sixteenth century setting in the historic center of Palermo, a stone’s throw from the Arab Norman Cathedral, the 6 museum rooms of the MEC become the set of a unique restaurant of its kind. Boasting the largest collection of Apple Computers, Laptops and gadgets, Giuseppe was sure to have them all on display making one feel like they are having a gastronomic experience in an alternate "AR".
